Opening in the Clearwater County Sheriff's Office for a Communication Specialist. This job will monitor, receive, and transmit radio messages to law enforcement, medical, and fire personnel. Answer incoming phone calls. Fill out initial police reports. Maintain radio and phone logs. Assist jail deputies. Requires basic clerical abilities such as computer and typing skills. A typing test is required. Employer will provide additional job specific training. This is a fast-paced work environment. Applicants must have ability to multi-task, be highly organized and able to deal with a high stress work environment. Must have no felony arrests and no illegal drug use in the last 5 years. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and valid driver`s license. Also requires attending the dispatch academy within a year of hire date. This is a full time position. Shifts will rotate every two months (Day & Graveyard ).

Clearwater County Truck Driver/Equipment Operator

Operate truck with trailer attached, heavy equipment, & dump truck. Good mathematical abilities. Perform labor jobs: shoveling, raking, brush cutting. Load and unload trucks. Requires Class B CDL, with a Class A within 6 months of hire. Work 40 hours per week $14.98-$16.83 DOE .

Clearwater County Road Department has openings for full-time Flaggers. This is a seasonal position.  A current flagging certification is required. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time in all types of weather. The work is performed under the supervision of the county Road Department. Minimum qualifications are: High School Diploma or equivalent, driver’s license, and Flagger Certification Card.
