Clearwater County to Launch New iCourt Technology and System
CLEARWATER CONTY TO LAUNCH NEW ICOURT TECHNLOGY AND SYSTEM
ON APRIL 5, TO APRIL 9, 2018
iCourt is just days away from launching in Clearwater County, allowing for better information exchange among judicial partners, around the clock access to court records and improved efficiencies in courtrooms across the state. This technology will go live on Monday, April 9 following a conversion process which starts after business hours on April 5.
Clearwater County will be one of 14 total counties to transition in April, following 14 counties which have already made the conversion to iCourt. With this in mind, we wanted to share what you can expect in the coming weeks:
Services will be limited at your courthouse the next two weeks. On April 6, services will be reduced to all but critical business, similar to operations the day preceding a holiday.
Online payments (through CitePay) are currently offline until April 9, when the system will transition to the iCourt Portal at mycourts.idaho.gov. Starting April 6, the current case management system (Idaho Statewide Trial Court Automated System) will be transitioned to read-only access. While the court will be able to view records, it will not be able to accept online payments, schedule criminal court dates or take new civil case filings, except emergencies.
If you do not have urgent business with the county, you are asked to avoid the County Courthouse from April 6 through the week of April 9.
Anyone with a court appearance scheduled during this time frame must still attend. The iCourt conversion will not excuse anyone from failing to attend a scheduled court date.
If anyone needs to pay a citation and it is not due until after April 9, please wait to pay it until the Portal is launched.
iCourt goes live April 9 at 8am. During that week, everyone using court services should prepare for delays and be patient as employees get comfortable navigating the new system.
As part of the transition to iCourt, the Court Data Repository will be replaced by a new system known as the iCourt Portal. Once iCourt launches in your county, if you want to look up the status of a trial court case or search criminal records of an individual within the county you will need to visit https://mycourts.idaho.gov.
The current information from the Court Data Repository for your county will transition to this new website as well as previously transitioned counties.
This means that the iCourt Portal will be unavailable from April 6 - 9 as part of the transition.
By the end of 2018, when iCourt has launched in all 44 counties in Idaho, all court records will be located on the iCourt Portal.
For attorneys and businesses in your county, electronic filing will also become available, but not mandatory, when iCourt goes live on April 9.
This will become mandatory on May 9 for all transitioned counties (Adams, Benewah, Bonner, Boundary, Clearwater, Gem, Idaho, Kootenai, Latah, Lewis, Nez Perce, Payette, Shoshone, Washington).
